Passenger traffic at Athens International Airport soars by 22.2 pct in July
Passenger traffic at Athens International Airport posted an annual rise of 22.2 percent in July, official figures showed.
More than 1.7 million passengers passed through the airport in July, up from 1.4 million last year.
According to the same data, passenger traffic in the first seven months of 2014 rose by 18.1 percent compared to the same period last year. More than 8.2 million travelers have passed through its gates since January compared to 6.9 million last year.
The number of passengers traveling on international flights increased by 21.9 percent while domestic traffic went up by 23 percent, data showed.
