Homeowner opens fire at burglars
A 60-year-old man in Nea Selefkia, northwestern Greece, opened fire on two burglars inside his home Friday, injuring one of the two in the upper arm.
The two thieves, both Albanian nationals, escaped with an unspecified amount of jewelry, several cell phones, a camera, various personal documents and 700 euros in cash, before being netted by police.
The wounded burglar was taken to Filiata Hospital for treatment. Police arrested the 60-year-old, who will face a prosecutor.
