Myconos club owner, Peloponnese ex-businesswoman arrested for tax evasion

The Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) has arrested a 50-year-old nightclub owner on the Aegean island of Myconos on charges of tax evasion.

Authorities said that an inspection found that the business had failed to issue 11,225 euros’ worth of receipts to its customers.

The suspect was to face a prosecutor on the island of Syros.

Also on Saturday, police arrested a 54-year-old woman in Zacharo, southwestern Greece, for alleged debts to the state.

Police said that the former businesswoman owes the state 1.2 million euros.
