Search under way for body of man ordered killed by in-laws
Police over the weekend were looking for the remains of a 43-year-old Albanian national after five suspects gave police evidence suggesting that he had been killed by a hit man.
According to reports on Saturday, the victim’s Greek parents-in-law hired a 48-year-old man – implicated in three prior homicides – to murder the 43-year-old husband of their daughter, aged 30.
The parents and the 48-year-old were arrested late last week in Imathia, northern Greece, after the 43-year-old was reported missing earlier this month.
Another two people have been detained on charges of aiding and abetting.
The motive for the alleged contract killing was not made public.
