Two face charges after 10-year-old dies on Myconos in speedboat accident

Two men are to appear before a prosecutor on Syros on Tuesday in connection to the death of a 10-year-old boy on Myconos a day earlier.

The boy was killed after he fell off a ride at Kalo Livadi beach and was hit by the speedboat that had been hauling the ride. The two suspects are the speedboat driver and the owner of the firm offering the rides on the Cycladic island.

According to reports, the boy was on the ride with a relative but lost his grip and fell into the sea. He was struck by the boat when the driver came around to pick him up.
