Coast guard detains migrants in Lesvos, Farmakonisi

Greek coast guard officers on Monday spotted and detained two groups of irregular migrants.

A group of 15 migrants, including 11 men, two men and two children, were spotted and subsequently detained on the beach of Neapoli, on the island of eastern Aegean island of Lesvos, while another 32 migrants, including 29 men, one woman and two children, were spotted on the island of Farmakonisi in the Dodecanese before they were taken to a temporary dention center on the island of Leros.

All the migrants were reported to be in good health.
