Tour guide ‘hurt’ as activists hang Gaza banner from Acropolis

A tour guide claims she suffered injuries on Tuesday when she tried to prevent activists from hanging a banner protesting the bombing of Gaza at the Acropolis in Athens.

The banner read “Stop Israel crime at Gaza.”

It was unfurled at noon but police had arrived and taken it down within around five minutes.

Three people were detained.

The female tour guide reportedly intends to sue the protesters for the alleged injuries she suffered.

The activists deny hurting her.
