Greek firms see 30 pct rise in PayPal payments from abroad in 2014

The payments that Greek firms received via PayPal increased by 30 percent in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2013, according to new data from the online payment company.

Most payments were from North America and Canada (31 percent), followed by Great Britain (16 percent) and Germany (10 percent), according to Damien Perillat, the managing director of PayPal in Central Eastern Europe.

Travel services, internet services and fashion items were among the most popular items purchased via electronic payment.
