Greek local authority staff to join public servants’ strike
The union representing local authority employees (POE-OTA) announced its decision on Tuesday to join rolling strike action called by the umbrella union for civil servants (ADEDY) to protest a troika-mandated evaluation program for civil servants.
The walkout is to begin on Friday at 11 a.m.
POE-OTA called on its members and supporters to “rally together and intensify the struggle to overturn the policies of the memorandum and the troika which are leading to the demolition of public services.”
