Raid on Peloponnese cannabis plantation leads to 34-year-old’s arrest

Drug enforcement officers in Kalamata have arrested a 34-year-old man suspected of being behind a plantation with 315 cannabis plants that was raided in early July on the outskirts of the coastal town of Pylos.

The July raid was carried out as part of a larger operation to crack down on illegal narcotics in the region of Messinia, with officers discovering the plantation in an inaccessible wooded area outside Pylos.

The investigation eventually led to the 34-year-old, who was arrested on Saturday.
