Thessaloniki welcomes biggest cruise liner yet this year

Rhapsody of the Seas was ceremoniously welcomed by the Thessaloniki Port Authority on Sunday.

The biggest cruise liner to have visited the northern port city this year arrived from Istanbul with 2,368 passengers from Europe and the Americas and a crew of 794.

The port authority stressed its intention to continue its cooperation with the cruise company that operates the ship so that Thessaloniki becomes a permanent port of call for the huge liner in the coming years.

The Rhapsody of the Seas then sailed toward Myconos.
