Prosecutor says Golden Dawn MP should not be prosecuted over Baltakos recording
Prosecutor Antonis Liogas recommended on Wednesday that the Athens Appeals Court should not proceed with a case against Golden Dawn spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris (photo), who was accused of breaching privacy rules by filming a private conversation with then-cabinet secretary Panayiotis Baltakos in October 2013.
Liogas said the conversation was about matters of public interest, rather than personal issues, and that the meeting had taken place in Baltakos’s office in Parliament with the doors open.
