Seven children from makeshift refugee camp in Athens receive treatment

Seven of more than 100 children who are living in a makeshift refugee camp in Pedion tou Areos park in central Athens were taken to hospital for treatment.

The children, who have been living in tents pitched in the park over the last few weeks, were accompanied by their mothers and charity workers to the Penteli Children’s Hospital.

Four of them were given medicines and released after being inspected by doctors. The other three children were admitted for treatment.
