A 42-year-old speedboat captain who killed a tourist in an accident on Rhodes on Saturday was released by authorities on Monday pending an investigation.

The captain, a Swiss national, was dragging a water skier at the time of the accident, which happened shortly before sunset on the Dodecanese island. There were another five people, friends of the water skier, in the boat.
