Infant dies in Peloponnese Roma camp

A 14-month infant died in a Roma camp in the area of Korivos, in Gastouni, in Ileia in the Peloponnese after it was hit by a car on Tuesday.

According to early reports, the accident occurred after the vehicle’s handbrake came off and one of the wheel’s hit the baby in the head.

The infant was taken to a local hospital for a post mortem, while authorities were investigating whether or not someone was inside the car at the time of the accident.
