Almost 500 Syrian refugees board floating reception center at Kos

Almost 500 Syrian refugees had boarded by Monday morning a passenger ship that docked at Kos.

The Eleftherios Venizelos, which can carry more than 2,000 people, is being used as a temporary processing and reception center after local authorities were unable to deal with the large numbers of migrants and refugees arriving on the island.

Authorities also confirmed that the body of a 16-year-old Syrian man had been found on a remote beach on the island.
