SkyGreece suspends operations temporarily

SkyGreece Airlines on Friday announced the temporary suspension of its operations. The airline began operating round trip services from Athens and Thessaloniki to Toronto, Canada, in May.

The decision to halt services was the result of “financial setbacks” resulting from the crisis, the company said in a statement released online. “As a result of recent technical issues, the company is now facing a system-wide multi-day delay and significant additional expenses,” the statement added.

Passengers were invited to contact travel agents for alternative travel arrangements. More information for travelers was available on the company’s website.
