Retired airman takes own life by jumping off hospital window
A retired airman who served with the Hellenic Air Force jumped out of a window Friday morning at a hospital where he was undergoing treatment for an unspecified illness.
Authorities at the hospital said he was badly injured from the fall and emergency doctors were unable to save him.
Police summoned to the hospital are said to have a found a note in which the man, reported to be 57 years old, explained that he decided to take his own life after receiving a negative prognosis from doctors.
