Top Greek courts are without presidents

Four former heads of the Council of State, Greece’s highest administrative court, met Justice Minister Nikos Paraskevopoulos on Wednesday to express their concern that two of the country’s three highest courts have been without presidents since the summer.

Paraskevopoulos assured his four visitors that the vacancies at the helms of the Council of State and the Court of Audit would be filled soon.

He said the delay in appointing new court presidents had been caused by the political developments over the last few months, including the referendum in July and the snap elections on September 20.
