Judiciary is delivering

For some time now, the judiciary has been living up to its responsibility as far as the big bribery cases involving arms procurements are concerned.

It is very encouraging that a new generation of judicial officials is using the various tools at its disposal and conducting investigations that until recently were thought to be impossible.

The hard work that these men and women are doing is starting to deliver results and tangible benefits for the state as taxpayers’ money is finding its way back into public coffers.

Also, seeing wrongdoers being brought to justice satisfies the desire that many Greeks have for corruption to be tackled and not covered up.

This effort should also act as a deterrent to those who will be awarded responsibilities such as overseeing arms purchases in the future.
