Teachers to stage protest over staff shortages
The Elementary School Teachers’ Federation (DOE) said on Thursday that its members will hold a protest at the Education Ministry at 1 p.m. next Wednesday to draw attention to staff shortages at state schools.
DOE complained that governments have consistently tried to fill gaps with short-term solutions.
It argues that permanent hires are the only way the problem can be resolved.
