GD trial: Friend of Fyssas returns to the stand

The Golden Dawn trial continued on Tuesday at Korydallos Prison, western Attica, with a friend of Pavlos Fyssas, the anti-racist hip-hop artist who was stabbed to death by a member of the neo-Nazi party, Giorgos Roupakias, in Keratsini, near Piraeus, in September 2013.

Pavlos Seirlis returned to the stand on Tuesday and was being cross-examined by defense attorney Giorgos Roumpekas.

Roumpekas declared in court that he believed Seirlis's testimony was unreliable, arguing that he did not witness the fatal attack on Fyssas.

Seirlis was a member of a group of friends who along with Fyssas were watching a soccer game at a Keratsini cafeteria on the night of the murder.

The friends were allegedly attacked by a crowd as they left the cafeteria, leading to Fyssas being cornered and subsequently stabbed.
