Bellini | Athens | November 13-21
The Greek National Opera presents a new production of Vincenzo Bellini’s “The Capulets and the Montagues” at the Athens Concert Hall. Performances run on November 13, 14, 15, 18, 20 and 21, starting at 8 p.m. The cast is led by Tassos Apostolou (Capellio), Mihaela Marcu (Giulietta), Mary-Ellen Nesi (Romeo), Yannis Christopoulos (Tebaldo) and Petros Magoulas (Lorenzo). The Greek National Opera and Choir is led by Lucas Karytinos. The opera is co-produced by the Greek National Opera, the Fondazione Arena di Verona and the Fondazione Teatro La Fenice di Venezia with the support of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation. In Italian with Greek surtitles. Tickets range from 20 to 65 euros; 12 euros for students and children.
