Life at Night in Ancient Rome | Athens | December 2

College Year in Athens/DIKEMES is hosting a lecture, “Nox Intempesta: Religious and Legal Oddities of Life at Night in Ancient Rome,” by Hans-Friedrich Mueller, Thomas B Lamont Professor of Ancient and Modern Literature, Union College, Schenectady, New York, and fall 2015 visiting professor at CYA. The event, part of CYA/DIKEMES’s lecture series, takes place on Wednesday, December 2, starting at 7 p.m., and explores the ancient Roman conception of night as a domain religiously and legally distinct from day. Admission is free of charge.
