Man, 56, accused of sexually abusing 9-year-old girl
A 56-year-old television station worker has been arrested in Thessaloniki after police allegedly found evidence that he had repeatedly raped a 9-year-old girl, believed to live in his neighborhood.
The man was reported to authorities by an acquaintance. A subsequent raid of his home and his personal computer allegedly turned up several video files in which the suspect is seen sexually abusing the young girl, AMNA news agency reported.
The search also revealed hundreds of pornographic photographs and videos of minors, as well as footage of children in playgrounds and women walking in public spaces or standing at bus stops, according to reports.
The 56-year-old divorced father of two adult children is to face a prosecutor.
