Union action to disrupt Greek flights on Thursday
A 24-hour strike called for Thursday by the union representing staff of the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority is expected to result in some delays to flights but no major disruption.
The union, known by its acronym OSYPA, called the action to coincide with a hearing by the Council of State’s plenary session of the union’s appeal against the recent privatization of Greece’s regional airports.
OSYPA took the legal action jointly along with regional authorities as well as bar associations and business groups across the country.
