Amber alert out for abducted boy

Child protection agency Hamogelo tou Paidiou (Child’s Smile) has issued an amber alert notice following the abduction of a 4-year-old boy from Halkidiki, in northern Greece, by his father.

The boy has been missing since Wednesday night after his father, a 34-year-old Albanian national, allegedly stabbed his spouse to death in their home in Ormylia, Halkidiki, before fleeing with the boy. The couple’s eldest child, a 6-year-old boy, was in the apartment at the time of the attack.

The missing boy is called Foivos, is 1 meter tall, of average weight, with pale skin, dark brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information should telephone 116000, the European helpline for reporting missing children, or contact ELAS on 100.
