Canadian investors unhappy with AIA contract stagnation
Athens International Airport’s Canadian stakeholders are increasingly unhappy with developments in its privatization.
Officials from the Canadian pension investment fund PSP met on Wednesday with the president of state sell-off fund TAIPED, Stergios Pitsiorlas, and expressed disappointment with the course of negotiations concerning the extension to the concession contract for the country’s biggest airport.
PSP, owner of a 40 percent stake, is eager to see talks proceed, but the issue has been blocked by the chairman of the AIA board, Panayiotis Roumeliotis, preventing it from drawing up an agenda of board meetings.
