Swift conclusion of Greek review ‘does not just depend on us,’ EC spokesman says
“The European Commission will do everything in its power to reach a swift conclusion of the review, but obviously this does not just depend on us,” spokesman Margaritis Schinas said during a press briefing in Brussels on Monday.
Schinas said that recent talks with lenders’ representatives in Athens were “constructive,” adding that progress was made on a number of issues.
Schinas said work on a technical level needs to continue over the coming days so that mission chiefs can return to Athens as soon as possible.
