Last of navy helicopter crash victims buried in Athens
The funeral service of Eleftherios Evangelou, killed in a helicopter crash last week with two other Hellenic Navy officers, took place in Athens on Monday.
The other two officers killed when the Agusta Bell chopper crashed into a hillside on Kinaros, near Amorgos, Anastasios Toulitsis and Constantinos Pananas, were buried over the weekend.
The helicopter was taking part in a nighttime military exercise when it crashed.
The causes of the accident are being investigated but initial signs point to human error or mechanical failure.
