GSEE to hold anti-reform rally in central Athens
Private sector umbrella union GSEE is planning to hold a rally against the government’s pension reforms at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at Syntagma Square in Athens.
“As long as the government and the lenders continue the harsh austerity policies and slashing labor and pension rights, the unions’ duty is to protest and demonstrate,” said GSEE in a statement.
GSEE has warned that in coordination with other unions it will call a 48-hour strike if or when the government submits the reform bill to the Greek Parliament.
