FYROM returned about 600 migrants to Greece, says police

The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) has sent about 600 migrants who crossed the border on Monday back to Greece, a FYROM police official said on Tuesday.

Most of the migrants were taken back to Greece on Monday or overnight on trucks, the official said.

Hundreds of migrants marched out of a Greek transit camp, hiked for hours along muddy paths and forded a rain-swollen river on Monday to get around a border fence and cross into FYROM, where they were detained.
