Links | Athens | April 3-23

The Greek National Opera presents “Links,” a new work by the company’s recently appointed ballet director, Greek choreographer Andonis Foniadakis. “Links” is based on music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Georg Friedrich Handel, two composers who were born in neighboring cities in 1685 but never actually met. In “Links,” Foniadakis creates an imaginary landscape in which the two composers meet. The production features the company’s principal dancers, soloists, demi-soloists, corps de ballet and dance school students. Performances take place on April 3, 6, 10, 19, 22 and 23. Shows start at 8 p.m. Admission ranges from 15 to 45 euros (10 euros reduced).
