ATHEX: Subdued trade before break

The week’s last bourse session produced more gains for Greek stocks, albeit on the smallest turnover of the last four weeks, ahead of a four-day recess due to the Western Easter.

The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index will resume trading activity from 557.04 points on Tuesday, March 29, having climbed 1.04 percent on Thursday from Wednesday’s 551.31 points. On a weekly basis it rose 1.54 percent.

The large-cap FTSE 25 index grew 1.79 percent to end at 150.53 points.

In total 48 stocks advanced, 43 declined and 19 stayed put.

Turnover came to 36.4 million euros.

The general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange in Nicosia declined 0.07 percent to 67.55 points on Thursday, in the week’s last session due to Friday’s national holiday.
