Civil servants’ union plans protest at Athens hotel hosting creditor team

Greece’s public sector union ADEDY will stage a protest at 5 p.m. on Monday outside the Hilton Hotel, the residence of the representatives of Greece’s creditors during their negotiations with the government.

Union leaders are protesting against the negotiations, which they say are tantamount to “the plunder” of worker incomes.

ADEDY has also called a 24-hour strike by all public sector employees for April 7 to protest the government’s pension reform plans.

Greece and its lenders are aiming to conclude their negotiations in time for the relevant measures to be passed before eurozone finance ministers meet on April 22.
