Byron & the Greek Revolution | Athens | April 13

The Athens Concert Hall is hosting a lecture by Roderick Beaton, Koraes Professor of Modern Greek & Byzantine History, Language & Literature and director of the Center of Hellenic Studies at King’s College London, titled “Lord Byron and the Bailouts: What the British Poet Really Did for the Greek Revolution of 1821.” The event takes place on Wednesday, April 13, in association with the British Embassy in Athens, the British Council, King’s College London and Patakis Publications. Writer Haris Vlavianos will coordinate the lecture. Starts at 7 p.m. and admission is free of charge. Distribution of priority coupons starts at 5.30 p.m.
