NATO chief expected to visit Greece and Turkey
NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg is expected to visit Greece and Turkey on April 20-21, diplomatic sources told Kathimerini on Sunday, to visit the SNMG-2 NATO unit, which is patrolling the Aegean Sea as part of operations to intercept migrant smugglers working from Turkish shores.
Stoltenberg is due to meet with the foreign and defence ministers of both countries, after the decision to extend NATO’s presence in the Aegean by another two months.
