Cracking down on the vandals
The government clearly needs to address the issue of public safety.
Certain legislative amendments and a more relaxed stance by authorities have failed to deter the usual suspects behind a string of recent acts of destruction and violence. Quite the contrary, in fact.
These individuals have now gone too far and believe – not entirely unjustifiably – that they can do whatever they like without facing any consequences whatsoever.
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras recently stated in Parliament that he opposes such behavior.
It is time for him to prove this in practice before it is too late.
