Japan awarding academic scholarships for Greeks

The Japanese government is awarding scholarships to Greeks who want to study at universities in Japan. The programs are for undergraduate students aged between 17 and 22, as well as research students up to the age of 35.

The Japanese Embassy in Athens announced that the scholarship covers five years of study for the undergraduate students and 18 months for researchers, which includes six months of language classes.

The scholarship covers travel costs, tuition fees, student visas and a monthly stipend of 117,000 yen (942 euros) for undergraduates and 143,000 yen (1,151 euros) for postgraduate students.

Applications have to be submitted by May 31.
