Five men were arrested on Thursday for the murder of a 91-year-old in his home earlier in the month in the central town of Volos.
Local police said the men, aged 34, 39, 41, 57 and 63, confessed to the crime and were charged with premeditated murder and robbery.
They were to appear yesterday before a prosecutor.
The accused apparently beat the victim before binding and gagging him.
Coroners believe the man died as a result.
His body was found by a relative in a storage room adjoined to his house which had been ransacked.
