Girl, 4, reported missing Easter Sunday found in Aspropyrgos

A 4-year-old girl who was reported missing in Skaramagas, western Athens, on Easter Sunday, was located in Aspropyrgos on Easter Monday, authorities said.

According to reports, the girl was discovered near a hotel in Aspropyrgos by the area’s harbor master during a large-scale search operation launched a day earlier.

The girl was celebrating Easter with her family at her grandfather’s home on Easter Sunday when she disappeared. Child protection agency Hamogeli tou Paidiou (Child’s Smile) issued an amber alert after her parents reported her missing.

Police were investigating the incident and treating the case as a possible abduction.
