Get submitted license plates back by paying road tax by the month

The Finance Ministry is bringing to Parliament a clause that will allow for the return of vehicle license plates with the payment of road tax by the month for owners who chose to hand over their plates to avoid paying the annual levy.

The ministerial decision signed on Thursday provides for owners to get their plates back for one month if they pay for two months (one-sixth of the annual amount of road tax) and for three months if they pay for four months.

For owners to get their plates back for the rest of the year, they will have to pay the equivalent of the number of months left, plus two more months.
