The 13th Thessaloniki International Book Fair takes place at the northern port city’s Helexpo exhibition center from May 12 to 15. This year’s event showcases two special tributes: one to Russian literature, as part of events comprising the Year of Greek-Russian Friendship and another to past and present refugee crises. The festival brings together publishers and authors from 20 countries. Also on the event’s agenda is a mini-festival celebrating the art of translation. Admission is free. Open Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m., Friday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. For more on the festival, go to www.thessalonikibookfair.com.
