Greek lawyers extend strike again over austerity measures

The Athens Bar Association on Wednesday announced that it was extending its ongoing strike action until May 24, the date of the next Eurogroup summit, where a decision is expected on the Greek reform program and the release of further bailout funding.

Lawyers have been on strike since the beginning of the year in protest at a new wave of austerity measures, including pension cuts and tax hikes that were voted through Parliament last week.
