Suspected migrant smugglers caught after chase in Alexandroupoli
Police in northeastern Greece have arrested two men on suspicion of trafficking migrants.
The suspects, one Greek and one Pakistani, were arrested following a chase on the outskirts of Alexandroupoli, officers said on Monday.
The men were carrying 12 Pakistani migrants in a van, according to the police. The driver crashed into a traffic light after trying to evade a patrol car. One of the migrants suffered minor injuries.
