Ten suspected members of drug ring arrested in Attica
Police in Attica said on Wednesday that they had broken a large drug smuggling ring following the arrest of 10 suspected members: six Albanians aged between 28 and 47 and four Greeks aged between 36 and 41.
The racket is believed to have smuggled large quantities of cannabis into the country and packaged it for distribution across Greece.
Officers found some 170 kilograms of cannabis following raids on the suspects’ homes in different parts of Attica. They also found more than 62,000 euros in cash, a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two pistols, hundred of rounds of ammunition and pepper spray.
