Five sought for Koropi suburban train station heist
Police in Koropi, eastern Attica, on Wednesday were seeking five individuals who allegedly broke into the Koropi suburban train station at 3.30 a.m., attacked the night guard and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The assailants reportedly hit the guard, removed a metal cabinet which was holding the money and left the premises. Initial reports suggested the perpetrators loaded the cabinet on to the guard’s vehicle and drove off.
The car was subsequently located on the Koropi-Markopoulo highway.
