Spreading lawlessness

The Greek state is paralyzed as vandals vent their destructive urges. Their anger is directed against public property, ranging from buses to the Athens Polytechnic building.

The authorities are either not interested or have decided to turn a blind eye to incidents of this kind. However, as long as officials fail to deal with this ailing phenomenon, dangerous lawlessness and violence will spread unchecked.
