Two women busted at Athens airport carrying cocaine in stomachs
The Greek Police on Wednesday announced the arrest on Sunday of two Brazilian women at Athens International Airport accused of smuggling sizable quantities of cocaine in their stomachs. Both suspects flew to Athens from Sao Paulo in Brazil via Doha.
The first, aged 22, had allegedly swallowed plastic capsules containing a total of 822 grams of cocaine, and the second, aged 30, 829 grams of the same narcotic. The two transgender women were taken to hospital so the drugs could be removed.
Police believe both are members of a larger international drug racket.
