PPC general assembly postponed

PPC general assembly postponed

A Greek Public Power Corporation (PPC) stockholders’ general assembly was postponed on Thursday shortly before the meeting was scheduled to start. The postponement was the result of tension between PPC employees and management prior to the general meeting which was expected to decide on the concession of a minority stake in the state-run power grid operator ADMIE.

PPC union (GENOP) head Giorgos Adamidis on Thursday called on the company’s leadership “not to associate their name with the dissolution of the biggest industrial corporation in the country.”

A new general assembly was scheduled for July 11.
